The last of the vintage style MG sports cars, this magnificent 1955 MG TF1500 must be seen to be believed. Lovely rich black paint with red leather interior and beige roof, this MG attracts a lot of attention where ever she goes.
The TF midget was the launched-on October 15, 1953 as a much-facelifted version of the TD Mark II using the same 1250cc EPAG engine with an increased compression ratio to 8.1:1 with larger valves and carburettors. In mid 1954 the TF was given an increase in engine capacity to 1466cc (1.5L), designated as the XPEG engine and renamed as the TF1500. With the increase in engine size, the power increased to 63BHP with about 17% increase in torque, giving the car more sporting appeal and better drivability over the smaller engine.
This gorgeous MG TF is matching numbers engine and gear box and has been fastidiously treated to a full nut and bolt restoration by the previous owner with no expense spared. Photo’s of the TF before undergoing restoration are also present along with large folder of documentation. All of the original tools, jack and crank handle are present as well.
This MG comes with balance of registration (if sold in QLD) and roadworthy certificate.
MG TF’s in this condition and colour combination very rarely come up for sale – Don’t miss out on this gorgeous car! Must be seen to be appreciated!
