1973 Triumph TR6
This beautiful concourse winning Triumph TR6 in Pimento Red with Black upholstery will stun you with its sharp looks and fun driving experience
The TR6 was introduced in 1969 as a replacement for the Michelotti designed TR4/5. Though largely based on the TR5’s underpinnings including chassis, doors, straight 6 engine, body tub etc due to budget constraints – the TR6’s Karmann designed body propelled Triumph’s sports car into the early 70’s.
The 2.5 litre inline 6 was carried over from the TR5 with fuel injection for the euro market and carburettors for the US market in which many TR6’s were exported too. With approximately 150hp mated to a 4 speed gearbox– the fuel injected TR6 is a raught to drive.
This multiple concourse winning Triumph was restored in the early 2000’s in a full nut and bolt restoration. During the restoration, the standard Lucus fuel injection system and J type overdrive was installed giving the Triumph an extra boost in performance and increase drivability at highway speeds.
The TR6 It remains in impeccable condition thanks to its current owner whom is meticulous with maintenance and keeping the Triumph in pristine condition. As such, it has won multiple awards (as pictured) at car shows such as Maclean’s Bridge Classic Car show, Noosa Concourse and All Briths Day to name a few.
The triumph comes with full hood, tonneau, associated wet weather gear, along with a boot full of trophies and workshop manuals.
This is a fantastic opportunity to acquire a multiple concourse winning TR6 at an attractive price.
