1954 Morris LC5 Commercial Pickup

For sale is the very same model Morris LC5 commercial pickup used by ‘Greengrass’ in the hit TV series ‘Heartbeat’!
 
Morris commercial vehicles were a staple of the British commercial industry in the 1920’s right through to the 80’s with many variations of the vehicles coming out from flat bed pickups, to delivery trucks right through to ambulances and busses.
 
Little history is known of this particular Morris LC5 besides its last residency in a small Victorian town for a number of years. It represents in reasonable condition for its age and use however is in need of some restoration with some rust in areas and some small mechanical/electrical work needed. Besides this the truck is still drivable and is powered by the same 61bhp Austin A70 engine connected to a 4 speed manual transmission. Rated at 1.5 tons.
 
Some more recent work on the pickup include:
the addition of a metal flat bed with new square rear lights
3 red gum sleepers running along the back panel of the truck
New light truck tires and brand new custom made rims produced by Mullin’s wheels at the rear
Re-upholstered  interior seats and cabin sides with pull handles and rubber matting on floor
 
These Morris commercial trucks are very rear and collectible and seldom seen on the market. This Morris is a brilliant opportunity to quite easily restore back to original or make a fully custom piece of automotive history. These vehicles are greatly suited to the avid collector or for business looking to advertise themselves in a unique way. This Morris attracts a LOT of attention at any event!!!
